Most of our jewellery, unless specified otherwise, is made from sterling silver and semi-precious stones. All semi-precious stones are fragile and care must be taken with them. Returns will not be accepted for any item that has not been treated with care. Semi-precious stones will chip and crack if knocked or scuffed against something, even if accidental, and silver can scratch so please be careful with your items. Silver will dull over time with wear, but can be brightened up again quickly and easily with the use of a silver cloth or cleaning solution. Please do not use any cleaning products on an item unless it is designed for use on silver. We also suggest that you try to avoid contact of any silver cleaning product with the stones themselves as this may damage them. We would also recommend that you avoid contact of your item with any chemical product, such as cleaning products, water (ie washing up, bathing or swimming in an item) and perfume. It’s a case of using common sense when looking after stones and silver.
The pearls are fastened with sterling silver clasps in most cases, check the item description if you’re not sure. These can be cleaned with silver cleaning products but try to avoid contact with the pearls themselves. Pearls are self-cleaning when worn in contact with the skin so shouldn’t require anything. The coloured pearls are dyed to give them their vibrant colours, the colours should not run ordinarily, we have never had a client complain or return an item for this reason, but again we would recommend that you don’t allow any contact with liquids as this may affect the colour. And again pearls are soft and will scratch and chip if treated roughly.
We recommend you keep all items in a cotton or organza bag, gift box or jewellery box to ensure they don’t get damaged when not being worn and please do not store items in direct sunlight.
Any failure to adhere to these guidelines of wear and storeage for your item will void any claim for refund, exchange or replacement of the item.
