Jewellery Hire

We are now offering a jewellery hire service on some of our online pieces.

We know that many of you would love to wear something really glamorous or extravagant just for one night, for that special event or occasion, without being able to afford, or even wanting, to actually own the piece!

Well now you can. For a fraction of the purchase price you can now wear our pieces for any occasion, and when you're done simply return them and retrieve your deposit.

Imagine being able to wear something truly striking and eye-catching to the ball, wedding, party, romantic dinner, anniversary; any number of events and occasions for which you want to dress up and wear something a bit more special and out-of-the-ordinary!  Wear a piece that will turn people's heads and turn your friends green with envy, and then return it and watch your bank account heave a sigh of relief!

We can offer pieces to loan for a day, a week, or a fortnight (ideal if you wanted to take them on holiday with you!)

PLUS, if there's a piece you love but you're not quite sure it's right for you, why not hire it out for a few days, try it on, make sure it's really what you're looking for, and if it is just get in touch to pay the balance - we'll even deduct your hire costs from the retail price so it won't have cost you anything!

This service is currently only available on a selected range of higher-end pieces, to view the current available items visit our Online Shop and go to the jewellery hire section to browse through. Earrings are not available to hire due to hygiene reasons.

So, How Much Will It Cost Me?

For daily hire, prices are calculated at 10% of the retail price of the item. If for example the piece would retail at £50, then the daily hire rate will be just £5/day.

Weekly hire is calculated at 25% of the purchase price, so for our example would be £12.50

Fortnightly hire is calculated at 40% of the purchase price, in our example £20

Longer hire periods can also be agreed, but it starts to lose it's financial advantage!

We post all hire items out via recorded first class delivery and charges are calculated from the estimated date of arrival (if the piece does not arrive on the agreed date, you must obtain proof of this in order for us to waive the charge for that day), and we allow one day for return postage as well. If for example you wanted to hire an item from 2nd to 4th September, we would post the item out on the 1st and expect to receive the item back on the 6th, and charge 3 days hire.

A weekly hire would be posted on the 1st, assumed to arrive with you on the 2nd and expected to arrive back with us on the 10th. Likewise a fortnightly hire would be expected to arrive back on the 17th.

Late returns will incur a penalty of 12% /day, unless you can prove it was a postal delay the item was posted on time with a guaranteed service. All items must be returned in their original condition, any damage whatsoever whilst in your care will result in the complete loss of your deposit. It is also your responsibility to ensure the item is packaged securely for return postage so as not to get damaged in transit, and to ensure it is insured. Full payment for the agreed hire period is required up-front, as well as a deposit for the remaining balance on the full purchase price of the item, which is non-refundable in the event of loss or damage.  Should you decide you would like to purchase your hire item, simply get in touch to let us know and we'll just keep your deposit - bringing your payment up to the full retail price.

Deposits are to be taken up-front and are to be made in the form of a credit card payment which will be refunded in full upon safe return of the item. This is the quickest and easiest method of payment, and as long as the item is returned to us within 30 days will not cost you any interest. Any late fees will be deducted from your deposit and the reduced amount will be refunded to your card. If you do not have a credit card we can accept a deposit in the form of a guaranteed cheque but prefer not to as this can get complicated if late fees are due to be paid and delays the booking process. At the moment we cannot take bookings for dates more than a month in advance. We also offer priority on an item to anyone currently hiring it - if for example the item was booked out for hire next month, but you decided you wanted to buy the item for yourself now, we would offer it to you first and cancel any future bookings. Please be aware of this when making bookings, that they are subject to cancellation. All items for hire are also still for sale through our online shop, so again it is possible that someone will purchase the item online before your booking in which case the item will be offered to you for purchase first, if you decline then it will be sold to the other customer. Should the item be out on loan at the time, the item will again be offered to the hirer for first refusal and then on it's return be sold to the other customer. Booked items may also be lost or damaged whilst on hire elsewhere, in which case we may have to cancel your booking. We do guarantee to honour your hire agreement from within 48 hours prior to postage - we wouldn't let you down at the last minute, assuming circumstances within our control. We will not hire out any items without a full deposit payment so please do not ask. There will be postage costs on top of hire charges at our standard rate to be paid up-front also.
